Hello Auto Enthusiast! Welcome to the newly renamed Collector Car Podcast. I’m digging deep into Monterey Car Week and on today’s podcast I review the best car at each of the different auction houses. I’ll review the cars coming up for sale at RM Sotheby’s, Gooding, Mecum, Worldwide and Russo & Steele.
I will be posting new podcasts every three or four days leading up to the big weekend. The next podcast is “The Ugliest Cars @ Monterey That are still Awesome”. Before anyone gets upset, be sure to hear that…that are still awesome…they just hurt my eyes. If you’ve been on The Collector Car Podcast website, you know the cover art for this episode includes a McLaren Senna. Be sure to listen to see where that one falls.
For this episode, the six cars I’ve picked from each of the auction houses are also the cars for The Collector Car Contest that is open now. If you guess the closest total bid price, you win about $200 worth of Star Wars autographs. Go to thecollectorcarpodcast.com for more details. A quick reminder on how this contest works. You enter what you think they will sell for on the Contest tab and watch the auctions! The winner will be announced on this podcast the following week. To play, you will have to enter your email address, but I will not spam you! If a car doesn’t sell, I will use the highest bid that is nd published by the auction house. Whoever has the lowest total difference from the total price for all six cars wins! A quick congratulations to “Crutz” for winning Contest #6. He won $240 worth of beef jerky, dog treats and car care items. A special thanks to our sponsors for that contest…Tillamooka, Black Magic and Cosmo Snak Shack!
Here are the top cars for Monterey with my analysis for the contest. I’m launching the YouTube channel now so if you are more of a visual person, you can see what I’m talking about there. All of the links will be on my blog at TCCP.com.
